“I still remember our wonderful Mahler Third Symphony performance with great fondness and am proud to have conducted you.  I hope you will enjoy the pleasure of music the rest of your lives!

Warmest greetings,
Maestro Hans Vonk

Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra

“In performances you are so excited…I get goose bumps the whole time and can’t help but feel joyous. Also, I like the variety of the music we learn. What I love about The St. Louis Children’s Choirs is the quality, dedication, and professionalism.”

Singing in St. Louis…

The St. Louis Children’s Choirs perform throughout the St. Louis area. Each December, the Children’s Choirs perform at Powell Symphony Hall in a Holiday Concert that sells out every year. In October and March, the community is invited to free Friends and Family Concerts at the Webster University
Community Music School in University City. The season concludes with a Spring Concert each May.

Collaborations and Special Events

In St. Louis, advanced choirs have presented concerts with the Holiday Brass Ensemble at the
Cathedral Basilica, the St. Louis Bach Society, St. Louis African Chorus, and The Harlem Boys Choir. Concert Choir has performed by invitation at the Missouri State Capital for Governors Carnahan
and Holden. The St. Louis Children’s Choirs have been heard throughout the country on classical
radio stations and featured in St. Louis on KFUO Classic 99.1.

Community Outreach for Beginning and Intermediate Level Choirs

Each spring, beginning and intermediate choir perform in school tours giving choral assemblies for elementary and middle schools. Choir members also enjoy giving performances for hospitals, nursing homes, and for young people at the Juvenile Detention Center. These first touring experiences enable students to share their music with the community and bring joy to seniors who might not otherwise be able to attend concerts.
