Administrative Coordinator

Cathrine Chesbro is thrilled to be back with The St. Louis Children’s Choirs, having been a member of the choirs from 2000-2003. In 2015, she graduated from Wheaton College Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. Cathrine has worked as a stage manager, artist assistant, event planner, and performs throughout the St. Louis area with the North County Community Big Band and the St. Charles Big Band. She is a proud graduate of Ritenour High School and serves on the Ritenour Alumni Choir Foundation Board. Formerly the Education Coordinator for the STAGES Performing Arts Academy, she now serves as the Administrative Coordinator for The St. Louis Children’s Choirs.

Community Engagement Manager

Maria A. Ellis joined The St. Louis Children’s Choirs as Community Engagement Coordinator in the fall of 2016, and is now the Community Engagement Manager. In this role, Maria works in collaboration with the Choir Manager to fulfill strategic plan initiatives related to partnerships, collaboration, diversity, inclusion, and community engagement. Maria also works with music educators, school districts, and organizations that enable the Choirs to provide increased opportunities for young singers and music teachers across the community. Maria earned her undergraduate degree in Music Education from the University of Missouri- St. Louis, where she also served as an E. Desmond Lee Intern as well as an Arts and Administrative Fellow for the St. Louis Symphony.

Choir Manager

Dan Mayo is the Choir Manager for The St. Louis Children’s Choirs, coordinating logistics for rehearsals, concerts, and tours. Dan previously served as the Manager of Education and Community Engagement for Opera Theatre of Saint Louis and holds a B.M. in Vocal Performance from the University of Illinois—where he graduated in the top 3% of the College of Fine and Applied Arts—and an M.M. in Vocal Performance from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. An alumnus of SLCC and of Opera Theatre’s Artists-in-Training program, Dan spent five years as bass section leader in The St. Louis Symphony Chorus and continues to sing professionally.

Chief Operating Officer

With over 30 years of business experience as a consultant, executive coach, facilitator, director, and educator, Pam has attended Stanford, Harvard and Wharton School of Business classes, management courses, and numerous business skills and training workshops. She was one of seven vice presidents for a billion-dollar company and ran a $30-million-dollar publishing concern responsible for 52 print, audio, and video products. She has served a diverse roster of profit and non-profit clients and loves serving the Choirs as their Chief Operating Officer.

Volunteer and Special Events Coordinator

Volunteer and Special Events Coordinator Marnie Parr is responsible for volunteer activities across the organization. Marnie has a BFA Performance (violin/viola) from the University of Alberta, Canada, a BEd in Music Pedagogy, and studied Arts and Cultural Management at MacEwan University. She is certified in Level III Orff Schulwerk, completed Kodaly studies and Suzuki Teacher Certification, and has taught K-12 strings, choral, and general music. She has toured Europe multiple times both as a chamber musician and symphonic player and was a founding member of Quartetto con Brio! Marnie currently performs with the Webster University Symphonic and Chamber Orchestras, along with The Metropolitan Orchestra of St. Louis. She is a passionate advocate for arts education and for differently-abled people.

Development Manager

Kathy joined the Choirs’ staff in 2011 and has since served many different administrative roles from Administrative Assistant to Office Manager and currently Development Manager. In this role, she is responsible for managing the Choirs’ fundraising initiatives including the annual appeal, RiseUP Giving Club, and grants. As the daughter of two musicians, Kathy has always held a love for the arts and has accumulated over 13 years of experience working with arts organizations such as The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Dance St. Louis, and Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. She is a graduate of Webster University with a Master’s degree in International Relations. Kathy’s first love is theater and she enjoys attending plays and musicals. She volunteers as Communications Manager for Upstream Theater, and as a board member for Arts For Life.

Marketing Coordinator

As Marketing Coordinator for The St. Louis Children’s Choirs, Abbi Telander works with social media, advertising, marketing, and a variety of special projects. Abbi brings to the table a wide variety of skills and experiences, having worked as a copy editor and as an advertising sales rep for newspapers, as a book researcher and editor, as a communications manager, and as an interpretive park guide first for the Minnesota Historical Society, eventually spending eight and a half years with the National Park Service. She holds an MA in History and Museum Studies from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and earned a BA in History and English Writing from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, where she sang in two different choirs.
